Anouchka-Virginie is a soul lover. She captures in everyone and everything emotional moments of life,bliss,doubts,thoughts.... Without any artifice,her photographs are authentic. She plays with light,colour and reflections to enhance a detail which naturally attracts the eye. She gives life to her subject through an emotion...
Via her work,she expresses a real fascination for 'the other side',the inexplicable,the untouchable,the place where our dreams and sorrows can find a shelter,where everything is possible....
Anouchka was born in Nancy -France- in 1971. She started travelling all over the world from an early age,from Kenya to the indian sub-continent. When she is 17,she discovered alone the province of Rajasthan, where she then dreams of settling down.

At 20,she joined the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda,Gujarat,where she passed the entrance exams to attend the Fine Arts college. All her free time she dedicated to her passion for photography, the outback ,and the unexpectedness of the road....
Time after time,she directly builds her photographic personnality by expressing her deep interest for the indian culture,taking time to wander,to immerse herself in people she meets, trying to be either totally invisible or deeply accepted. She takes time to consider the moment and to melt herself into the landscape to prime her camera button...
Anouchka goes on with her studies at Saint Xavier's college, Bombay,and then works abroad for a few famous tour operators.
Adventures in and of the soul, she travels all around the globe and lives a few years in England, in Switzerland, in the Middle-East and in the Netherlands.

Nowadays she is back in Nancy from where she works at building and organising her photo exhibitions and projects (a few a year), documentaries too and has collaborated with the 'Oztheaterland' troupe on theater and video clip creations as a set photographer.

Biographie
Anouchka-Virginie est une amoureuse des âmes. Elle capte en chacun et en chaque chose des instants d’émotions, de vie, de doute, de questionnement … Sans artifices aucun, ses photographies sont authentiques. Elle joue avec la lumière, les couleurs et les reflets pour sublimer un détail qui attire naturellement l’œil.
Anouchka est née en 1971 à Nancy. Son père l’initie aux voyages et ouvrira la porte à ses désirs d'ailleurs en l'emmenant avec lui au Kenya, alors qu'elle n'a que 12 ans. S’en suivront le Sri Lanka puis l’Inde avec sa mère, et enfin un périple seule à 17 ans en voyage initiatique dans l'ouest du pays. Elle s’attache particulièrement au Rajasthan où elle rêve, alors, de s’installer.

C'est tout naturellement que peu après son Baccalauréat, elle part passer le concours d’entrée à l’école des Beaux Arts Maharaja Sayajirao de Baroda où elle est admise en section Histoire de l’Art. Son temps libre est consacré à sa passion pour la photographie, l’ 'Autre', et l’imprévu de la route….
Peu à peu, elle forge sa personnalité photographique grâce à son intérêt très poussé pour la culture indienne, prenant le temps 'd’errer', s’imprégnant de chaque rencontre humaine, se faisant oublier totalement ou admise entièrement. Elle prend le temps de considérer l’instant et de se fondre dans ses rencontres pour déclencher le bouton de son appareil…

Elle intègre par la suite le Saint Xavier's College de Bombay pour une année d’étude de la photographie. S’en suit alors de nombreux voyages. Aventurière dans et de l’âme, elle vit à l'étranger où elle est employée par des Tour Operators, ce qui lui permet d’assouvir sa soif de l'Ailleurs. Elle passera quelques années en Angleterre, en Suisse, en Egypte puis six ans à Amsterdam tout en continuant, toujours, d'explorer de nombreux pays (Moyen-Orient, Etats-Unis, Maghreb, Australie, Chine, Brésil, Japon, Océan Indien,..)

Désormais, elle est de retour dans sa Lorraine natale depuis laquelle elle travaille à l'organisation de ses expositions ( plusieurs par année), de projets et documentaires photographiques, et a collaboré avec la troupe du OzTheaterland à des réalisations théâtrales et vidéo en tant que photographe de plateau.
